World Air Traffic

This is a 24-hour observation of all of the large aircraft flights in the world, condensed down to about 1 minute. From space we look like a beehive of activity.

The yellow dots are airplanes in the sky during a 24-hour period. Stay with the picture. You will see the light of day moving from the east to the west, as the Earth spins on its axis.

Also, you will see the aircraft flow of traffic leaving the North American continent and travelling at night to arrive in the UK in the morning. Then you will see the flow changing, leaving the UK in the morning and flying to the American continent in daylight.

You could tell it was summer time in the north by the sun’s footprint over the planet. You could see that it didn't quite set in the extreme north and it didn't quite rise in the extreme south.

I had no idea there were that many flights!!

Didn't summer JUST start? We finally have hot enough weather to swim, and they take it all away with back to school sales, and fall clothes on the racks.

This was my first thought when I walked into Wal-Mart today. However, as soon as I walked down the aisle, I instantly succumbed to my love of school supplies. I'm a sucker for it all. I'm certainly not ready for summer to be over, but I do love new pencils, pens, scissors, glue and everything else that goes along with going back to school!! I even bought a ruler that we totally don't need, but it was such a great deal, and an even greater color!

Free Samples

You may already know about this site, but I just recently became aware of it. You can click here and get free samples, free trials, and other special savings from Wal-Mart. Personally, I have only been interested in the free samples. So far I've gotten free tampons, pantyliners, men's body wash, and paper towels . . . SCORE! :) They change all the time, so keep checking back.
